Association GRENA has Distance Learning Center, which enables students to use their time effectively to study different courses and pass certification exams via Internet. For the Learning Management System (LMS) the open source software system Moodle is used. The first stage of the project was funded by the Open Society - Georgia Foundation.

GRENA is planning to introduce new distance learning courses and ready for cooperation on this subject with educational institutions of Georgia and with interested individuals. Tutors will be able to post prepared education materials on the GRENA distance learning server and teach the course.

GRENA Distance Learning Center provides many advantages to the course tutors (teachers) as well as to students.

Course tutor will be able to use many modules of the distance learning software which simplifies preparation, posting and administration of education materials of the course.

Students will be able to communicate with course tutor as well as with other students of the course. Open discussions, pose questions and receive answers using chat module of the distance learning system, initiate discussion concerning interesting item on the forum.
